Online vocal lessons are perfect for vocalists at every level, from professional singers and beginners to those needing assistance with their singing skills, audition preparation, songwriting, coaching with public speaking and healing through music.

Internet: Make sure you have a fast internet connection. I recommend minimum 30mbps, but nowdays you can get speeds on your home and business networks much faster. If you are working on 3G or 4G, the connection should work if you have a strong signal but remember this will also consume your data plan if you have a limited plan.
Microphone: A good microphone is essential for your voice coach to hear all aspects of the session. If you don’t have a good built in mic, you should invest in an external microphone for your computer or device.
Camera: Most modern laptops have built-in cameras. Tablets and smart phones are also excellent cameras for use in online sessions. 
Headphones: Headphones can be helpful to hear the coach clearly and minimize the coaches voice coming back through your microphone. 

Find a space in your home or in a board room, if in the office, when you can take the session undisturbed. Turn off your mobile phone, or make sure it is on silent, so you are also not distracted by calls or text messages which may come in during your session.

Yes, you will be given vocal exercises, vocal warm up and songs to work on, you will be advised how to practice.

Barbara Tobler is a versatile, dynamic singer and performer who is known for her ability to sing in different styles and languages including classical, pop, broadway, jazz, blues, and rock.  Barbara found her roots in opera after winning the Austrian American Society Vocal Competition, which sent her to live and study at the prestigious Mozarteum in Salzburg, Austria.  From there, she enjoyed a successful career performing in opera houses around the world.  Barbara returned to the United States to complete her Master’s Degree in Vocal Performance while continuing her performance career.  She went on to become a college professor and began her private studio where she explored and expanded her interests into other genres and styles of music.  Currently, Barbara can be seen and heard performing with the trio, Lyriphon, and the band, Crimson Coil.
